Sunday, 17 May: True love

I wonder by my troth, what thou, and I
Did, till we lov'd? Were we not wean'd till then?

But suck'd on country pleasures, childlishly?
Or snorted we in the seven sleepers den?
Twas so: But this, all pleasures fancies bee.

If ever any beauty I did see,
which I desir'd, and got, t'was but a dreame of thee.
(First stanza of' "The good morrow" - John Donne)

  1. Eleanor...I love the second one where she has grabbed the scarf, pulling him towards her as if to say; " where have you been" ?

  2. Wonderful pictures! Is that second one meant to be La Belle Dame Sans Merci?

I like your rose trellis quilt and especially like the photographer's shadow!

  3. Ah, where have all those romantic days gone? Seems like just yesterday they were still around. :)

Hello Eleanor. It was lovely meeting you. That chocolate cake was delicious. :)
