Thursday, 21 August 2008: Thankful Thursday

I am hurriedly joining this Thankful Thursday initiated by Rhondi. I am celebrating the bevy of bright orange clivias which are budding extravagantly in my garden to announce that spring is just around the corner. And I am thankful that in this busy, busier, busiest day I have had these few minutes to stop, consider, post a pic and enjoy these blazing orange beauties amidst their shiny green leaves.

  1. Seems so strange for someone to talk about heading into Spring when over here we are heading into Fall - we're getting tastes of the lower temperatures, rainy type of weather that puts a taste of Fall into the air. Actually, we're grateful for the 80 degee temps we're having versus the usual August temperatures of 100s. I'd like to be looking forward to Spring again - it is my favorite season but Fall is my second!

  14. Being on the other side of the world, all of your posts about the seasons sound so exotic to me! Even your flowers seem beautifully unusual.

We are all anticipating autumn here!

  15. Hi Eleanor, thanks for stopping at my site and leaving your comments.
Browsing through your site has also taken me down memory lane. I grew up at Warmbaths (or should I know say Bela Bela) - and those birds in your side bar bring back many memories - the only one missing is the hornbill
