It's November and the jacarandas are still a treat. The Union Buildings, seat of the administrative government in South Africa, in Arcadia are framed by purple.
From Waterkloof hills the suburbs have a purple haze.
I get sidetracked when driving down streets under a purple canopy.
Wishing you a happy Tuesday from

Here the trees are bare and the rain is pouring down. The snow tyres are on the car and we're hunkering down for winter!
Eleanor,
Who would not get sidetracked driving down such roads! You have a beautiful world.
Gorgeous color! This must be a real treat to see every year.
P always says that if the students haven't started studying by the time the Jacaranda's blossom, then it's toooo late! :)
That purple is just fabulous!
glorious!
Oh, that purple...magical! Thank you for sharing this beauty, Eleanor! :o) Happy Days ((HUGS))
I remember buying presents outside the Union Buildings with the jacaranda in full bloom! That was exactly six years ago today...
This settles that I MUST go there in the spring one year.
So beautiful! Are the Union Buildings actually pink? A pastel delight!
wow i love the colors of the blooming flowers. great job.
Wow, so much purple. I love the way it frames and fills the town.
The purple is perfect to raise my spirits now that fall is in full swing here. We had blowing sleet yesterday and today it's warm and sunny.
Gorgeous, gorgeous! Purple is one of my favorite colors. But then, the jacaranda has such a romantic air - thanks for sharing!
How lovely. I'm in Los Angeles and have stumbled on your blog. All I could think when I saw those pictures was, "wow, some people live there."
Beautiful. Delightful blog. Thanks for sharing.
The jacaranda trees are just gorgeous. I saw some in Southern California one year and wondered what they were. Now I know and love them. Seeing your pictures reminds me of how pretty they are.
I have never had the opportunity to visit Pretoria during the Jacaranda blooming season. I would love to one day.
